(September 23)
The Circle of Friends for American Veterans,
through its publication Veterans Vision, has endorsed Congressman Jim
Marshall for re-election. This group is the 48th veteran’s organization
to endorse Marshall in 2004.

Endorsed by Veterans Coalition
(September 16)
One of the largest veterans’ coalitions in the country, the National
Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans Coalition (NVGWVC) has endorsed Jim
Marshall for re-election. Comprised of nearly 100 veterans’ organizations
throughout the country, the NVGWVC represents more than 300,000 veterans
and family members.
“…[The] board unanimously agreed to
endorse your re-election to the United States Congress and, furthermore,
wishes to express our sincere gratitude for your genuine support on
behalf of those who, like yourself, have answered our nation’s
call to duty,” wrote
John Molloy, Jr., Chairman of the National Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans
Coalition, in a letter to Congressman Jim Marshall.

to Back Down

In an op-ed piece which appeared in the Sunday Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
Jim states, "Those who care about civil liberties,
peace and humanitarian causes undermine their own goals unless they exercise
restraint, foresight, character and resolve on this one issue. Hard though
it may be to accept, even peace activists should support this war." Read
